The main difference between dry cleaning and steam cleaning is that steam cleaning can be an effective system of carpet cleaning, but can leave the carpet very wet. The Electrodry carpet dry cleaning system uses dry cleaning solutions to break down the oil that holds the dirt and stains to the carpet. The carpets are then dry cleaned to lift the stains and dirt. With Electrodry, your carpet will be walk on dry, straight away.
The Electrodry cleaning systems have Healthguard built in to remove the germs, mould and fungi that might be present in your carpet or upholstery. Electrodry also offer a number of sanitising solutions to control the germs, bacteria, mould and fungi in your carpet and upholstery for 3 months to 3 years.
Electrodry uses a 4 step upholstery cleaning system; 1. We pre-vacuum the lounge suite to remove the dry soils. 2. Apply a dry cleaning solution to break down the body oils. 3. Apply a cleaning solution that contains Healthguard which kills the germs and mould. 4. Rinse the fabric with a hot water extraction system to remove the soiling and stains.
Carpet dry cleaning with Electrodry can result in more stains being removed than with other processes. Electrodry will typically lighten or totally remove 90-95% of stains in the cleaning process. Stains with a colouring, such as cordial, or an acid base stain such as urine, are generally considered to be permanent stains and will not generally come out in the standard cleaning process.
To remove difficult and stubborn stains such as tea, coffee, cordial, grease and make-up, we stock a range of specialised carpet stain removal products and we are able to achieve industry leading results. Our success at removing the particular stain will depend on the type of carpet, age of the stain, previous stain treatments applied and the strength of the dye. Your Electrodry technician will be able to give you an idea of the likely result, and any additional charges, upon inspection.
With the Electrodry system, between 500ml and 1 litre of moisture is used per average room. The dry cleaning solutions and conditioning rinse evaporate quickly so the carpet is 'walk-on dry' straight away and the carpet is usually dry in 1 to 2 hours.
The drying time will depend on the level of soiling and the type of fabric; synthetic fabrics will dry much faster than natural fabrics such as cotton which are more absorbent. We recommend you allow 3 to 6 hours for drying.
Mattresses collect dead skin, which acts as a food source for dust mites. As the dust mites colonise in a mattress, they deposit excrement which is highly toxic to humans. The Electrodry healthy mattress system removes the dust mite faeces with a thorough HEPA filter vacuum and applies Restezy, a lavender-scented solution that kills the dust mites and keeps them away for up to 6 months.
Electrodry provides a 4-step cleaning service which includes: 1. A thorough pre-clean vacuum. 2. Spot and stain treatment. 3. The Electrodry carpet dry cleaning process including the application of Healthguard to remove the germs, mould and fungi from the carpet in the cleaning process. 4. Your carpet will be groomed to improve its appearance and feel.
We ask our customers to tidy up and move small items. Your Electrodry technician will move larger items such as lounges and beds if they're on wheels or casters. We will work around heavy beds and wall units. Your Electrodry technician will do all they can to assist with your furniture moving requests, but due to insurance requirements, our technicians cannot move electrical items.
