It is a fact that most mattresses contain bacteria, fungi and dust mites in quantities that are at potentially dangerous levels. These nasties can lead to anything from skin allergies right through to serious respiratory illnesses such as asthma. Having your mattress regularly cleaned by Electrodry will ensure your mattress is kept in its optimal state.
Our technicians will assess your mattress for the most appropriate treatment. The next step is to use a high powered Kirby vacuum to remove the dead skin cells and dustmite excrement. The technician will then apply a healthy mattress solution including lavender infused Restezy to kill the bacteria, mould and dust-mites. Restezy remains active for up to 6 months, keeping the nasties away.
Restezy is a Healthguard based solution that treats dust-mites, mould and bacteria. It is "residually active" for up to 6 months, keeping the nasties away long after your mattress clean has been completed. Restezy has been infused with lavender to leave a pleasant fragrance and ensure you get a healthy, peaceful nights' sleep.

We spend over a third of our lives in bed. The average person sheds approximately 1 kilogram of dead-skin every year. Dead skin provides a food source for dust-mites and mould in your mattress allowing them to develop to potentially dangerous levels. Regular cleaning is required to remove the dead-skin, dust-mites and dust-mite excrement, making your mattress healthy for sleeping.
Dust mites are impossible to stop and inhabit even the cleanest of homes. Dust mites excrete nearly twice their body weight each day. Their excrement is found to trigger allergic reactions and health complaints such as: asthma, eczema, headaches and sneezing. They are even thought to contribute to depression and fatigue.
Mattresses collect dead skin which acts as a food source for dust mites. As the dust mites colonise in a mattress, they deposit excrement which is highly toxic to humans. Electrodry’s healthy mattress system removes the dust mite excrement with a thorough HEPA filter vacuum and applies Restezy, a lavendar scented solution that kills the dust mites and keeps them away for up to 6 months.

Electrodry also offers a Deluxe Healthy Mattress Service involving the decontamination and removal of human stains (such as blood and urine) from the mattress* - a fact well appreciated by families with young children prone to the occasional "accident".
The Electrodry Healthy Mattress Solution includes the treatment of sweat and body oil stains on the mattress and pillows. This service will greatly minimise or totally remove these stains.
Electrodry can effectively treat minor incidents of urine contamination by injecting an anti-bacterial product in to the mattress cushion and cleaning the affected area with a hot water extraction clean (steam clean). Our rule of thumb is that we can effectively treat urine contamination that is less than a bread and butter plate in size. In larger contaminated areas the urine has usually penetrated deep into the mattress, and sometimes through to the other-side.
The price varies on the size of the mattress and the level of staining and contamination. Your Electrodry technician will be able to provide you a price before he completes the work.
Yes, however we must use a dry process on latex mattresses. This means we can’t treat urine contamination or stains on latex mattresses.
