History
Richmond Town Hall was built in the 1880s and is now recognised as a landmark building. The Swan is one of the oldest hotels in the area and dates back to 1890. Another notable hotel is The Loyal Studley Hotel, which was built in 1981 and is now used as a homewares shop.
This suburb in Victoria is known for some of the best examples of modern and traditional residential buildings. Richmond is also famous for its manufacturing industry, which started in the mid 19th century.
