Meadow Heights is a peaceful suburb of Victoria with a population of about 14,800. It is 18 kilometres north of Melbourne’s central business district and home to a large Turkish community.

History

The area of Meadow Heights used to be called Coolaroo. In the 1980s and 1990s, Meadow Heights became popular and lots of new houses were built. The Meadow Heights Post Office opened in 1995.

There hasn’t been much change to the town since the year 2000.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

Though a small suburb, Meadow Heights has lots of attractions. It is home to a cinema complex and skate bowl, as well as youth centres. You can also find plenty of parks, wetlands and picnic areas around town.

Meadow Heights has its own shopping centre, featuring a bakery, supermarket, butcher and hairdressers. It has some good schools and handy transport links including three bus routes.
