FAQs

  • Can I have a quote over the telephone?

Your dental condition is individual. We believe that to accurately diagnose your dental condition requires a thorough clinical examination and any relevant x-rays or tests. Therefore a quote over the telephone without seeing you can only be a guess.

  • Should I have missing teeth replaced?

We all have different expectations for our smile and chewing ability. Every tooth lost has the potential to negatively impact our smile. Teeth work best as a team, and when team members are lost they begin lose their chewing efficiency. Some changes, such as tilting and drifting of teeth, may take years to occur, by which time it may be difficult or not possible to reverse. Replacing missing teeth may allow you to maintain your current smile and chewing expectations longer.

  • What if I have a dental voucher?

There are a number of government dental schemes that we honour, including Victorian Emergency Dental Scheme (VEDS), Victorian General Dental Scheme (VGDS) and Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS). Please note any terms and conditions of eligibility or copayment involved and advise us when making your appointment

  • What are your payment terms?

Payment is expected on the day of service. We accept Cash, Cheque, EFTPOS, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) without surcharge. HICAPS health fund claims can be processed on site.

  • Which toothbrush should I be using?

A soft one. Avoid harder varieties and use a gentle action as too much pressure can wear out teeth leading to sensitivity or weakening. Also avoid regular use of a highly abrasive toothpaste, e.g. those containing baking soda, as these can also increase wear. Should you notice any persistent stain or hard deposits this may need to be professionally cleaned.
