Tree roots will only enter the drainage system where there is a fault in the pipework. Small cracks and breakages allow the tree roots to enter the pipe searching for moisture. The tree roots will continue to grow inside the drain, eventually blocking the drain completely.
Our plumbers can advise you regarding proper size and placement of agricultural drains, stormwater pits and downpipe outflows. Proper installation of these drainage courses can dramatically reduce the amount of surface water in your yard after a down pour. We can also use our drain inspection equipment to assess your existing stormwater drainage for damage or blockage.
Dual flush cisterns will not work with existing single flush toilet pans due to differences in pan shape. When a dual flush toilet cistern can't be repaired it is sometimes possible to replace the cistern however it is often more cost effective to replace the whole toilet suite.
All plumbing and gas installations must be compliant with the relevant local and state regulations. Non-compliant installations may result in problems when trying to sell a property or when trying to claim insurance. Trying to fix gas problems yourself can be extremely dangerous. Our plumbers are licensed and are involved in ongoing training to ensure they keep up to date with the latest regulations.
Taps with ceramic discs or cartridges are a hard wearing alternative to the old style of tap with a rubber washer. With ceramic discs, all that is required is a 1/4 turn of your tap or shower and your water will stop instantly. Although they are hard wearing they can still be damaged by constantly shutting the water off too hard and by foreign particles in the water supply.
There are many types of hot water units to choose from â“ electric, heat pump, gas, solar, storage and instantaneous. Our plumbers can advise which option is right for you based on such factors as your patterns of hot water use, number of people in your household and your location.
Although the blockage in your drainage system was cleared this was not a permanent fix. If inspection reveals broken pipes, repair of the affected section of pipework is recommended. In fact, if your blocked drain was caused by broken pipes it is almost inevitable that the drain will block again.

It is not straight forward to change your shower taps to a mixer as it requires removal and replacement of tiles and sheeting as well as additional waterproofing. This may be worthwhile if you are doing a bathroom renovation.
Jason's Plumbing does not charge a call out fee. We charge for a minimum of one hour per job. Our prices are based on a standard rate per hour and per plumber in attendance. Our plumbers work as quickly as possible to keep your costs down. We may be able to provide you with an estimate of the cost of works. For larger jobs we can provide a fixed quotation.
