About Fitzroy Turf
We are supplying turf to Queensland and Australia.
Fitzroy Turf is a young innovative organisation that has recognised Central Queensland as one of the best locations in Australia for growing premium quality turf. The long hot summers with low humidity makes for healthy, vigorous grass untroubled by fungi's, nematodes and other nasties. The group takes it's name from the well known Fitzroy River.
Turf Varieties: *Velvetene, *CT-2, *Tropika, *Broadleaf carpet grass.
Velvetene characteristics: *Fine leaf paspalum, *Extremely salt tolerant, *Drought tolerant, *Deep green colour with minimal fertilizer required, *Grows well in soils of all descriptions.
CT-2 characteristics and benefits: *Hybrid breed, *Fine leaf dark green couch, *Likes 6 hours sun per day (full sun variety), *Water once per week for a good hours soak, *Hardwearing, *Low maintenance, *Low seed head, *Mow 1/3 leaf head each time you mow.
