Yes. Ammonia acts together with peroxide to swell the hair for colour penetration. As it does so it releases toxic gases causing permanent damage to the hair shaft. It is not responsible for colour sustainability. The Chi colour range has been designed without Ammonia and lasts as long as other colours without build up.

The word natural is often mis-used. Some products advertise that they are natural or organic as they have natural and organic ingredients in them. All Permanent hair colour must have some chemical ingredients in them, however the Chi colour range have removed the toxic ingredients of Ammonia and PPD.
Yes. It is perfectly safe to use Chi Permanent Colour while you are expecting as there is no release of toxic fumes.
