Purchasing a house is one of the largest decisions any of us will need to make. ADKO plumbing offers a pre-purchase inspection of a home’s plumbing & drainage to ease your mind about your purchase.
Over the years, we have received calls from clients, saying they had just bought a house & were unaware of all the plumbing related issues it had. In most cases, they had their house inspected by a building inspector, hired to look over the general integrity of the house & other general issues. A tip of advice, do not get a builder to “inspect” your plumbing, they do not have the equipment or the expertise. Do you provide plumbing inspections and how much will it cost?
We certainly do, and the price may differ depending on the size of the house and the amount of drains needing inspection. On average, they would start at $400 +GST for the camera and locating work, and including the full inspection of the house & property.

Does ADKO carry out insurance work?
We have done numerous jobs in the past on behalf of various insurance agencies, but separate to that we specialize in working with our clients in the event of a concealed leak to retain as much money as they can from their insurer. After all, they are entitled to it!

What causes blocked drains?
Blocked drains can happen for many different reasons. It could be because of the wrong things been flushed down the toilet. It could be old terracotta pipes, which have had tree roots, penetrate through the rubber joints. In the case of a sink line blockage, it could be due to a build-up of grease, which hardens and blocks the line.
